Mount Kinabalu is part of Kinabalu Park which is Malaysia’s first World Heritage Site. Mount Kinabalu is the highest point in North Borneo’s Crocker Range and is the highest mountain in Malaysia. The summit of Mount Kinabalu, known as Low’s Peak is 4,095 metres (13,435 ft) above sea level.
Sabah Parks issues summit-climbing permit only to climbers who stay at mountain lodge and are limited to a certain number of climbers per day. Climbers must be accompanied by accredited guides at all times due to national park regulations.
Kinabalu Parks
Kinabalu Parks is a region of plant life bio-diversity for South East Asia. The Park boasts more than 5,000 of fauna and flora (many of which are endemic to the region), home to some 100 lowland mammal species and 300 species of birds. It is one of the world’s most important biological sites.

Day One: Arrival, Kundasang Town Tour

Pick up at Airport, head to Kundasang.
14:30 Nabalu Town
Stop by at Nabalu Town Handicraft Market near Sabah Park.
15:30 Kinabalu Park
Arrive at Kinabalu Park. Check-in hotel.
18:00 Dinner
Back to hotel and dinner.
19:00 Free Time
Free & easy, have a good rest for the climb tomorrow.
Day Two: Kundasang, Kinabalu Park, Laban Rata

Breakfast & pack up your gear.

Depart to Kinabalu Park HQ from your hotel.
Arrive at Kinabalu Park HQ.
Collect your packed lunch and register for the climb.
Our guide will arrange for all necessary registrations, assign you a mountain guide and apply for your ID TAG.
You’ll then be transferred to starting point – Timpohon Gate – where your journey and quest to the summit of Borneo’s highest mountain begins! The climb will take approximately 4-5 hours.
The trek will pass by different vegetation zones from Oak and Chestnut to mossy and eventually to alpine type of vegetation’s.
Arrive and check into Laban Rata Resthouse @ 3,272m or similar in the late afternoon.
Buffet Dinner at Laban Rata restaurant and overnight.
Day Three: Laban Rata, Low’s Peak, Timpohon Gate, Kota Kinabalu
02:00 Wake up and Summit
Wake up at 0200 for early supper and depart for continuation of journey towards the summit of Mount Kinabalu.
The journey up to the Low’s peak at 4,095m will test your fitness and determination.
Depending on speed of trekking, you might be able to experience the glorious sunrise over the majestic Mount Kinabalu if weather permits.
Descend back to Laban Rata (0700) for late breakfast and check out.
Trek down to Timpohon Gate for transfer back to the Kinabalu Park Headquarter (est. arrival 13:00hrs to 15:00hrs).
Congratulations, you can now collect your Certificate of Achievement!
Buffet Lunch will be served at the Balsam restaurant in Kinabalu Park.
Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu City. Journey takes approx. 2hrs
18:00 Arrive in Kota Kinabalu city
Check-in hotel at Kota Kinabalu, and dinner. After dinner, free and easy.
Day Four: Kota Kinabalu, Departure

2D/1N Mount Kinabalu: Via Ferrata
Day One
06:00 – 06:40 Pick up from hotel
Pick-up from your hotel lobby and depart on a 2 hours journey to Kinabalu Park Headquarter. Collect your packed lunch.
09:00 Kinabalu Park
Our guide will arrange for all necessary registrations, assign you a mountain guide and apply for your ID TAG. Remember to wear your ID TAG at all times.
Proceed to starting point – Timpohon Gate – where your journey and quest to the summit of North Borneo’s highest peak begins! The climb will take approximately 4-5 hours.
The trek will take you through different vegetation zones from conifers and oaks to peat and mosses. Your journey will go from lowland woods to temperate and sub-alpine above the clouds.
15:00 Arrive at Pendant Hut
Arrive at Pendant hut at 3,289m and settle in.
15:30 Meet Mountain Torq
Attend the mandatory Via Ferrata familiarization in Pendant Hut and meet your Mountain Torq trainer.
18:00 The fun continues
Buffet Dinner at Laban Rata restaurant and overnight at Pendant Hut.
20:00 Lights out
Freshen up and pack up. Depart from the island back to the jetty.
Day Two
01:30 Wake Up
Wake up for early meal and prepare to summit.
02:30 Climb Low’s Peak
Start the climb up Low’s Peak, the summit of Mount Kinabalu.
05:40 Sunrise at Low’s Peak
Arrive at the summit of Low’s peak at 4,095m and catch the sunrise.
06:00 Descend from Low’s Peak
Descend Low’s Peak to meet your Mountain Torq trainer.
06:30 Via Ferrata Experience
Meet your via ferrata trainer at the 7.5km mark for Low’s Peak Circuit via ferrata experience (intermediate via ferrata, 4 to 5 hrs, French grade AD).
11:00 Return to Pendant Hut
Return to Pendant Hut for a well-earned late breakfast.
12:00 Check out and descend to Park HQ
Check out of Pendant Hut and descend to Timpohon Gate.
Arrive at Timpohon Gate (est. arrival 16:00hrs to 18:00hrs) and transfer to headquarter to collect certificate of achievement.
Lunch will be served in Kinabalu Park. Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu city. Journey takes approx. 2hrs.

Kinabalu Park Day Trip
08:00 Pick up from hotel
Pick up from hotel and depart for a 2 hours journey through breathtaking scenery to Kinabalu Park, 88km from Kota Kinabalu city.
09:00 Nabalu Town
Stop by Nabalu Town for a short break and enjoy your souvenir hunting time at Nabalu Handicraft Market.
10:00 Arrive at Kinabalu Park
Arrive at Kinabalu Park, go hiking around the numerous jungle trail at the park, and discover nature!
11:00 Depart for Kinabalu Park
Depart Kinabalu Park and head off to Poring Hot Springs.
12:30 Poring Hot Spring
Arrive at Poring, have a lunch at Round Inn nearby the entrance of Poring Hot Springs.
13:30 Poring Hot Spring
After lunch, time for a soothing sulphur bath. Take a dip in the all-natural mineral-rich hot springs surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. Observe wildlife on the canopy walkway 100 feet above the forest floor and take a dip in one of the soothing, hot mineral springs set in beautifully landscaped gardens.
15:30 Back to KK city
Head back to hotel in Kota Kinabalu city, end of tour.

Depart Kinabalu Park and head off to Poring Hot Springs.
